Dogs in the park

Kind of an Elliot Erwitt moment.

Imagine

They played 'Imagine' on the cathedral bells on Saturday. Odd feeling listening to it and trying to figure out what it meant. I have long thought it one of his worst songs, but it clearly means a lot to many people. It was a nice moment, like a little, forlorn cry for sanity in a mad world.

Alan's Leaving Do

More hilarity here and here. Although some of the images are in questionable taste.

St Johns Market

I was in here the other day and felt a strange sadness, knowing it is going, in spite of the fact that it is and has always been a shit place. I shall miss 'Coffees of the World' anyway.

Real fans in town

Loads of them. There was a great atmosphere in the city. I suspect these two may be directly descended from the Don and his faithful servant.

Da Boyz again

Just finished working on this play, and thoroughly enjoyed it although it was a grind at times. I am a bit too old for that theatre lark. But the show was an excellent polemic on the effects of violence on families and the community. More pictures here. A lot of rehearsal shots - I was too busy during the shows.

End of an era

This was on the cards since well before the credit crunch but it is still strangely sad to see Jeff gone - he might have been a grumpy sod but he did some lovely prints.
