Imagine

They played 'Imagine' on the cathedral bells on Saturday. Odd feeling listening to it and trying to figure out what it meant. I have long thought it one of his worst songs, but it clearly means a lot to many people. It was a nice moment, like a little, forlorn cry for sanity in a mad world.

Reading

Da Boyz again

Just finished working on this play, and thoroughly enjoyed it although it was a grind at times. I am a bit too old for that theatre lark. But the show was an excellent polemic on the effects of violence on families and the community. More pictures here. A lot of rehearsal shots - I was too busy during the shows.

End of an era

This was on the cards since well before the credit crunch but it is still strangely sad to see Jeff gone - he might have been a grumpy sod but he did some lovely prints.

I am doing some tech work on a community play called Da Boyz which is good but has eaten the entire month. Probably put up more of this in a bit.

This is a project Christian Petersen and I have been working on since October, and we have been able to display photographs (taken by the young people from the Shewsy youth club) on some hoardings near Hope on Netherfield Road, thanks to the support of Hope and the builders Allenbuild.
