These are from two different First Communion dos. On both occasions rain forced people to cram into small spaces.

Families - an exhibition of portraits

I haven't shown any work in an exhibition for about 10 years and it makes me very nervous for some reason, but I do really love this work I have been doing in Everton. Maybe it is because the point of the pictures is not that they are in an exhibition, or that I took them, but that they are family group shots so the real point of them is to the particular family. But also there will be some tea and cake, so please come down to the WECC, that is West Everton Community Council, on Bute Street, 6.00pm Wednesday 18th May. The studio will be open and you can get your picture taken. Bring the family.

Blood & Soil

This was a performance in the WECC about issues of national identity, belonging, and imm/emigration. I loved the way Lena occupied the space in the room which was set up for us all to take the citizenship test.

Long night

I had an odd evening, I was working the first bit taking pictures of the Lantern Company stuff, which was lovely, then I wandered about for a bit and got swept up in a thing some musicians were doing, ending up at the Tate.

Into the West

Spent ten days travelling in the West of Ireland. Impossible to express in words the magic and charm of it but these pictures tell some of the story.

Pride

Liverpool Gay Pride was a lovely occasion, from what I saw of it. Just caught the end of the parade but the atmosphere was great. A few more here. Note a very uncomfortable Joseph, my eldest. He has long been a disappointment to his stepmother because of his heterosexuality

Paul and Jane 's wedding

This was a lovely , lovely day, and photos will follow, but I made this little animated gif of their walk down the aisle - its a bit jerky, but just look at the dander on Paul.
